Michael C Kane is the founder of THE702FIRM Injury Attorneys and a seasoned trial lawyer with a unique background in science and law. Drawing on his education in biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology, Michael brings a distinctive advantage to personal injury litigation. “Knowing the medicine gives you a step up,” he says. “It really helps to know the science and the mechanics of an injury.”
Originally from Iowa, Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in 2003 from Drake University in Des Moines, where he was part of a surgical research team that published its findings in a medical journal. He went on to earn his J.D. from Drake Law School in 2006, which included an internship in Istanbul, Turkey that broadened his legal and cultural perspective.
After moving to Las Vegas, Michael initially represented insurance companies—experience that gave him critical insights into how insurers operate. In 2013, driven by a desire to advocate for injured individuals and families, he founded THE702FIRM Injury Attorneys. Since then, he has built a reputation for taking on challenging cases that other firms might turn down.
Michael is particularly skilled in cross-examining medical and technical experts, leveraging his science background to dismantle complex testimony. He has secured numerous significant settlements for clients whose claims were devalued or denied by insurance companies.
Together with co-lead attorney Bradley J. Myers, Michael is committed to maintaining open communication with clients while aggressively pursuing the justice they deserve.
