Before joining Bikel Rosenthal & Schanfield, LLP, Ilana practiced at boutique matrimonial firms in New York and Westchester Counties, where she handled matters related to custody, support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and family offenses.
Ilana earned her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, graduating magna cum laude. While in law school, she gained invaluable experience through an internship with the Honorable Lori S. Sattler of the New York County Supreme Court, an externship at Sanctuary for Families, and internships with several prestigious matrimonial law firms in New York City. She also served as an Executive Articles Editor for the Journal of Law and Policy and was a Family Law and Policy fellow, further deepening her expertise in the field.
